Eligibility: Individual researchers who completed their first doctoral degree between 1 January 2020 and 31 December 2024. Researchers who received their doctorate earlier may also be eligible where there are special reasons for career interruptions. These can include parental or childcare leave, military or non-military service, pregnancy, or long-term illness. Applicants must also not hold a permanent senior research position.

تفاصيل التمويل

The Academy Research Fellowship can provide funding for the Academy Research Fellow's salary, salaries of research team members, research-related expenses, travel and international cooperation, researcher mobility within Finland and internationally, and preparation of international research projects. The Research Council of Finland can contribute up to 70% of the project's total costs, while the host organisation is expected to cover at least 30%. Researchers may apply individually without a research team, while applicants who form teams should ensure that the team size is appropriate for the proposed research.
